A classy, rejuvenated, light coloured used wine barrel 225 l made of top quality oak and comes from the famous wine region of Margaux in Bordeaux. The barrel has been finely sanded and coated with a silky matt finish. The hoops are brush-finished, as standard, or painted black. There is a crossbar at the head of the barrel.

Our decorative barrels are mainly suitable for outdoor use.

The barrel screw made of stainless steel with brass nut, guarantees an optically elegant option, the fixing of a glass plate on a wooden barrel. Instructions for self-assembly:First of all, the drum lid is removed from the drum professionally and a 10 mm hole is placed in the middle. The stainless steel thread is placed into the wooden barrel lid from below and the lid is fixed back into the barrel. Then the round glass plate, which is equipped with a hole, is placed on the stainless steel thread. The brass plastic ring is then placed on top of it and finally the screw is fixed with the brass nut. When you buy the glass plate the barrel screw is included. If you order the glass plate together with a barrel, we install this barrel screw directly into the barrel, so that you only have to put on the glass plate.

These barrels were filled with French brandy distillate at the Wilthen distillery until the end.The Wilthener Weinbrennerei has been producing brandy according to the French model since 1885. It is one of the first and thus oldest distilleries in Germany. They are used exclusively as display pieces or can be used for tinkering purposes. The barrels may have the following defects:The barrel rings (galvanized or black) have flash rust, some loose or missing. The barrel bottoms are arched and individual barrel staves show stress cracks or fractures - thus no tightness can be guaranteed. If you are looking for barrels for permanent use as a bar table etc., please choose barrels of the first choice. Sale of barrels unsorted, while stocks last. No changing possible. Every oak barrel is unique. Different colorations arose from the precious content that once stored them. Small notches in the wood or small bumps are not quality defects but rather determined by the nature of the construction and the prior use of the barrels.
