Linseed oil is used by us in the cooperage in the manufacture of wooden barrels, barriques and furniture carpenter. The breakfast plates from our carpentry are made of old wine barrel parts and have been treated with a food certificated oil. Every plate is unique and might show some brandings of former cooperages or vineyards. Different colorations arose from the precious content that once stored them. Small notches in the wood or small bumps are not quality defects but rather determined by the nature of the construction and the prior use of the barrels. The different types of the plates can be seen in the pictures. We recommend a laserbranding (not included – order it at “accessories”) for the special and individual note. Examples of laserbrandings are shown in the pictures.

Are you looking for a special oak kitchen countertop?With us you get customizable countertops from used oak barrel staves from large barrels. The large barrels are 100 years old and older and wines and distillates once matured in them. We extract these barrels from cellars all over Europe and use the precious staves to build furniture.The wood is cleaned, sawn and planed by hand. The oak barrel staves are butt glued according to their length. We grout the former galls/joints, in which the barrel staves were bound, with epoxy resin - gladly with color pigments if desired. After these elaborate work processes, the panels are fine-sanded several times and oiled or varnished, depending on the specifications. Each board is unique and is produced only once.Notches, small cracks and bumps are no reason for complaint, but wanted and they tell the story of each piece of wood.The worktop is 600 mm wide and the minimum length is 2500 mm. Longer versions are of course possible. The cut-outs for the stove and sink are usually made by the craftsmen on site who are building the kitchen. A tapping barrel has been built out of a 600 l deco barrel by our carpenters. This barrel will make every beer lovers heart beat faster. This barrel is opened at the front. The hoops have been painted and have been screwed professionally to secure against falling. The polished barrel has been stained and has been treated with boat varnish. The bottom has been strengthened professionally. 6 heavy-duty rollers have been equipped under the barrel, 2 with brakes. A small dispenser (color brass) has been installed into the barrel. This barrel maintains one circulation cooler with necessary tubing connections, carbonic acid pipe with connection. A side opening serves the conducting of necessary electric connection, a pressure regulator with level indicators in “Bar”. Beer barrel connecting KEG - Connecting flat or basket fitting (as the customer wishes). A securing chain for the carbonated bottle and 1 x drip tray 20 x 30 cm are included. The door has a 2-3 cm gap on the bottom to improve the interior ventilation.  

With its vivid grain, walnut wood is the most beautiful wood imaginable for wooden furniture and home accessories. From the remaining wood of our barrel production, we manufacture, quite sustainably, unique walnut boards and platters, for stylish arranging and serving of food. We deliberately avoid varnish in the surface treatment, but use natural grape seed oil, because this allows the wood to breathe and gives it a silky matte sheen. Over time, repeat this process of oiling. Wash the board briefly with hot water if you have processed meat, fish, onions, etc. on it. Please wash it from both sides, otherwise the board may warp. To dry, please place it on edge and well ventilated so that it can dry evenly. If any unloved odors are absorbed into the walnut, you can neutralize them with a little baking soda. Each walnut tray is unique, which differs in shape and grain.
